How we source the numbers we publish

We put real data on our course pages: how often a standard is cited, what the penalties look like, where enforcement is heaviest. That only helps you if the numbers are honest, so here is where they come from and how you can check them.

Enforcement data

Citation counts and penalty figures come from the United States Department of Labor public OSHA enforcement records. We pull the full dataset, aggregate it ourselves, and show the date it was last refreshed on the page. We do not estimate, round for effect, or cite a figure we cannot reproduce.

Regulatory mapping

Each course names the specific regulation it documents, by citation. We map training to the standard it satisfies. We do not claim a course meets a requirement it does not, and where a standard also requires hands-on or site-specific work, we say so plainly.

Corrections

If you believe a figure or a regulatory claim on this site is wrong, tell us and we will check it against the source and correct it. Accuracy is the whole point of showing the data at all.
