What is on the paper, and why
40 CFR 82.161(a)(1)(iv) defines Universal as covering Types I, II and III together, and 82.161(c) requires at least 25 questions from the Core group and at least 25 from EACH relevant technical group. Universal therefore draws all four groups at 25 each, weighted 1:1:1:1, exactly as stated.

Does passing this certify me?
No. EPA Section 608 certification requires passing a proctored exam through an EPA-approved certifying organization. This is preparation for that exam, not a substitute for it or a certification in itself.

EPA-approved certifying organizations commonly require 70% on the Core section and 70% on each Type section to pass. Confirm the exact figure with whichever organization you sit the real exam with, since it can vary.
