What is on the paper, and why

No OSHA or NIOSH document publishes contact hours or a stated question-composition floor for ergonomics training, because no general industry ergonomics standard exists (the 2000 Ergonomics Program Standard was repealed by Congress under the Congressional Review Act in 2001, and no general standard has replaced it since). OSHA addresses ergonomic hazards entirely through the General Duty Clause (Section 5(a)(1) of the OSH Act) and its own advisory guidance documents, and NIOSH publishes separate, non-mandatory lifting research. With no published split to derive from, the four domains below are weighted equally, the same disclosed default this platform uses elsewhere (e.g. Crane, Rigging and Signal Person) when the source material states no proportion.

Questions people ask

Is this the real Ergonomics exam?

No. These are practice questions written to the actual OSHA regulation this topic comes from. Unlike the OSHA Outreach courses, there is no single official exam here to compare against; some certifying organizations in this space have their own proprietary exams we do not have access to and do not claim to replicate.

Does passing this give me a card or certification?

No. This is not an OSHA Outreach course. The determination this training supports is typically your employer’s own responsibility, based on training and evaluation they conduct or arrange, or a separate credential from a specific certifying organization if one applies to your role. This platform prepares you for the underlying regulatory content, not a substitute for either.

How much can I practise before questions repeat?

1 complete paper of 60 questions each, drawn from 96 questions, before you see anything twice.

Do I need to pay or sign up?

You can start practicing and sit your first full paper without an account. Signing in is what lets us save your answers and track readiness by topic over time. Unlimited full papers, plus review, history, the exam plan and flashcards, are part of Practice Test Pro ($19.99/month or $143.93/year).

What is a passing score?

There is no single published passing percentage for this topic. Whatever training or evaluation your employer or certifying organization requires sets its own standard; 70% is shown on your results as a common reference line, not an official cutoff.
