Stage 1: HAZWOPER 24-Hour Initial Training
Twelve two-hour modules covering the eligible 24-hour HAZWOPER initial training path for limited-task or fully characterized low-exposure workers.
Important boundary: Completion documents 40 hours of off-site HAZWOPER instruction only. It does not provide OSHA approval, three days of supervised field experience, employer certification of competence, respirator fit testing, hands-on PPE competence, emergency-response authorization, or site-specific authorization.
How this 40-hour path is delivered
This training path is mapped to 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(i). The 40-hour listing grants both required online components: HAZWOPER 24-Hour Initial Training and HAZWOPER 16-Hour Upgrade Training. Together they document 40 hours of online/off-site instruction. Required supervised field experience, hands-on PPE work, respirator fit testing, and site authorization remain separate employer responsibilities.

Questions
Does this provide full HAZWOPER site qualification?
No. This documents off-site instruction only. The employer remains responsible for supervised field experience, site-specific training, respirator program decisions, PPE competence, and certification of competence.
Why is this sold as a bundle?
The 40-hour path is delivered as the 24-hour initial course plus the 16-hour upgrade so the learner receives the full 40 hours of off-site instruction while keeping each certificate boundary clear.
Already trained?
Workers who already completed applicable 24-hour or 40-hour initial HAZWOPER training may need the annual refresher instead.
